Hieromartyr Hermogenes Patriarch of Moscow
Also known as Hermogenes of Moscow · Ermogen · Germogen
Patriarch of Moscow during the Time of Troubles who refused to bless the Polish occupation and roused the Russian people to defend the faith. Imprisoned by the invaders, he died of starvation in 1612. Glorified in 1913.
