Athanasios Hamakiotis
Also known as Athanasios of Rodopoli · George Hamakiotis
A hieromonk who served as parish priest at the church of Panagia Neratziotissa and founded the Panagia Faneromeni Monastery at Rodopoli in Attica, where he labored as a beloved spiritual father. He reposed in 1967.

Born George Hamakiotis in 1891 at Tourlada, Kalavryta; reposed at Rodopoli, Attica, in 1967. Aug 17 is his repose and Oct 23 the translation of his relics. Glorified by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in 2023.
